Last night I was sitting behind my computer minding my own business and playing some Second Life, when the sirens of a fire truck were awfully close. I stuck my head out of the window and saw some huge flames coming from the corner of the parking lot where I always park my car. "Holy shit! ", was the first thought that popped up in my head, obviously. I quickly put on some clothes, grabbed my little Sony camera, and dashed to the parking lot... to see that it wasn't my car that was burning, but a car in the opposite corner; phew!

I took my little camera out of my pocket to make some video and/or photos, but I soon found out that I forgot the battery, which was sitting in the charger at home. The next morning I found the remains of the car in a somewhat "crispy" state.

I'm sure glad it wasn't my car, wooh!

After doing my groceries, I decided to take the scenic route home. While driving on a dike (*giggle*), I was suddenly overtaken by an ambulance and two fire trucks. Since I didn't have anything better to do at the moment, I decided to follow them and see what was up. a few hundred meters own the road, there were a lot of police vehicles, another fire truck and a couple of ambulances.

Apparently, one of the tractors that was trimming the grass on the side of the dike, had tipped over and was laying upside-down in the moat next to the dike. About 2 minutes after I had arrived at the scene, a trauma helicopter (sort of a flying ambulance) landed in the backyard of the house next to the dike. A little over 40 minutes later, the driver of the tractor had been extracted from the wreckage and was on his way to the nearest hospital.

My coworker Mark arrives at the office whistling and starts working. 10 minutes later another coworker, Newten, arrives and says "Dude, your car is on fire", to which Mark replies "Oh yea, I know". Newten continues to say "No dude, I mean flames and stuff", to which both Mark and Newten dash to the door with a fire extinguisher.

5 minutes later I got curious and decided to check it out. I was just in time to see the fire department arrive.

And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust'ah This time it was a simple head-tail crash with no injuries... Just an extremely crappy and dangerous place to stand still.

My workplace is located next to a rather busy highway. My desk is facing a window, so I have a clear view on the highway; one of the exits in particular. It's a known fact, that roads can get slippery when they're wet, and this particular highway exit is no exception.

Whenever it's rainy outside, there's always some dumbass that can't handle his brake pedal, and makes a slip ‘n slide. It happens quite often, and it's always funny to see. In fact, it happens so often that I've decided to make a new category on my blog. So... without further a due, I present to thee
